    CPC’s Board of Directors are responsible for the association's governance, strategic direction and accountability.

    Governance is the framework, processes, rules, and systems that controls how the board is structured, how it operates and how decisions are made. Strategic direction and planning is done on an ongoing basis by the Board and include both short and long-term goals. The Board has a legal responsibility to provide oversight and accountability for CPC. They must ensure that all legal and ethical standards are followed and the organization is appropriately managing their assets and resources.

    This CPC Special Interest Group (SIG) is free of charge for members who qualify based on their background, qualifications, and interests. This SIG is limited to 20 participants. 

    The Advanced Independent Résumé Writers SIG is for experienced entrepreneurs who are providing résumé writing services through their private practice. Advanced independent résumé writers collaborate and share ideas, resources, and trends to better support their clients who receivrésumé development services.

    Sessions are virtual and take place via Zoom.  

    • You are expected to attend all four sessions; sessions are confidential and they are not recorded.
    • You must maintain your professional membership throughout the term of the program to participate.
    • Your group may agree to publish key research findings in the CPC News Feed.
    • Upon completion of the SIG, the group may decide to continue to meet for new sessions.

    To ensure the integrity and focus of the program, applicants are required to complete a questionnaire outlining their areas of interest. Preference is given to qualified applicants who have not joined a group previously.

    To be able to participate actively in the discussions, you must be an experienced independent résumé writer who works with clients to develop documents. If you do not have experience working in this area, you will find it difficult to contribute to the group discussion. If you feel that this group is not a good fit for you, please check our CPC Events schedule for another appropriate SIG.

    Governance is the framework, processes, rules, and systems that controls how the board is structured, how it operates and how decisions are made. Strategic direction and planning is done on an ongoing basis by the Board and include both short and long-term goals. The Board has a legal responsibility to provide oversight and accountability for CPC. They must ensure that all legal and ethical standards are followed and the organization is appropriately managing their assets and resources.
