This 90-minute trauma-informed care workshop for career development professionals would provide practical guidance on supporting clients who may have experienced trauma, whether from personal, systemic, or workplace-related events.
The session would begin by helping participants understand what trauma is, how it manifests in behaviour and communication, and how to recognize potential signs without requiring disclosure. It would then explore strategies for creating psychologically safe and inclusive environments where clients feel respected, heard, and empowered. Participants would learn how to avoid re-traumatization by being mindful of language, boundaries, and potential triggers in the career development process.
