Join us for Career Development Foundations. This is a fully-facilitated, part-time 3-week online course.

The Career Development Foundations Course (CDP-101) is designed to provide you with the core competencies that you require to perform effectively as a Career Development Practitioner. You will learn what is required of you in The Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners (S&Gs) and the national Career Development Practitioners (CDP) Competency Framework including Ethics and Theory.

This course will take you from theory into real-life application. You’ll learn to analyze and apply existing and emerging theories in professional practice. Through the course we’ll identify and describe various career development models and practices. We will relate models of human development to models of career development. We’ll also explain and apply the main components of career development in our day-to-day work. We will look at the repercussions of social roles on career development. And through it all you will discover and define your personal approach to service delivery taking into account recognized theories, models, and practices.
