As career professionals, we know that a resume is more than just a list of past positions and job duties; to be effective it must include powerful accomplishments.

CPC member, Brenda Collard-Mills will be leading our call. Brenda launched Robust Resumes and Resources in 2008. She describes herself as a career detective, probing clients to extract accomplishment-based success stories to compete in a saturated candidate market. Brenda has been a guest expert on two Roger’s community television shows, Georgian Bay Life and Women With Vision and a Guest Lecturer at Everest College in Barrie, Ontario. Brenda, her husband Dutch and a host of critters have happily called Wasaga Beach home for 26 years.

Canadians are noted for being reluctant to talk about their own accomplishments. During our call, we'll explore these questions:

  1. How can you encourage your clients to recognize their accomplishments?
  2. What are some ways that you help clients to articulate their accomplishments?
  3. What is the best way to incorporate accomplishment statements into the resume?
  4. When should accomplishment statements be specific? Can general statements work?
  5. Is it possible to include too many accomplishments in a resume?

This is a conference call. Long distance charges may apply.
