As 20% of Canadians will personally experience a mental illness in their lifetime, it is likely this will affect many of our clients. It is important to understand the issues they face in order to help them navigate through the world of work and find a position and employer where they can be successful.

Wayne Pagani, CPC Senior Advisor and Certification Chair will lead this session. Wayne has a passion for helping people discover their vocations and coaching them to create influential value propositions, develop their networks, and expand their professional opportunities. Offering this powerful balance of business acumen and vocational coaching, his holistic approach to career, interview, and resume strategy enables individuals to realize their career aspirations.

Consider these questions for the call:

  1. Do you work with clients who have a mental illness?
  2. What are your biggest challenges?
  3. How do you provide a supportive environment for your clients?
  4. How do you handle it if you don’t believe the client is capable of sustaining employment?
  5. What is your role in reducing stigma and discrimination?
