Wikipedia describes ATS as “a software application that enables the electronic handling of recruitment needs… Nearly all major corporations use some form of applicant tracking system to handle job applications and to manage resume data.”

Job seekers are facing these systems (often without knowing it) and finding it challenging to get past the initial screening. As resume writers and coaches, we need to understand how these operate in order to assist our clients, and help them navigate towards career success.

The following questions will be covered on the call:

  1. How does an ATS system work?
  2. What is the importance of a header?
  3. Is there a certain style or format that works best?
  4. What can we do to help our clients navigate an ATS system?
  5. What mistakes can we help our job seeking clients avoid?
