I’m a career development professional, educator and career coach with more than 20 years of experience helping adults and young people navigate education, employment and career transitions.
My background combines Psychology and Economics with extensive experience in post-secondary education, career-focused teaching, coaching, student advising, program leadership and management training. I have worked with individuals at many different stages of their careers—from young people exploring their options and graduates entering the workforce to experienced professionals considering a change in direction.
Throughout my career, I have helped people identify their strengths and transferable skills, explore realistic career possibilities, build confidence and turn uncertainty into practical next steps. My experience includes career exploration and goal setting, résumé and cover letter development, ATS résumé strategies, interview preparation, employment readiness and workplace skills.
I have taught and advised students at Sheridan College, Trebas Institute and CDI College, and have supported youth and internationally trained professionals through HMC Connections. Earlier in my career, I worked in management and employee development in banking, retail and healthcare, including management training roles with Stannic Bank and Edgars in South Africa and training management with the NHS in the United Kingdom.
My approach to career development is practical, supportive and strengths-based. I believe good career guidance starts by understanding the person—their experience, abilities, interests, priorities and circumstances—before deciding what the next step should be.
I particularly enjoy working with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed by their options, or unsure how their experience translates into what they could do next. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, recognize the value they already bring and develop a realistic plan for moving forward.
